Home staging - It's not your home anymore!

 

If you are about to sell your home, you might want to consider " staging" a method of preparing your home for sale to make the best impression on potential purchasers. Not only can staging sell your home but it can actually increase the asking price of your property. This may involve cleaning, de-cluttering and organizing. Furniture may need to be edited out or art work added. This will translate into dollars. Staging is done strictly to sell a house. The goal is to remove much of an owner's personal imprint on the home and turn it into a house. It is important to remove the personaltiy so that the potential purchaser can project their lives into this space. Home staging has nothing to do with taste and everything to do with marketing.

 

At a time when so many purchasers are first looking on line before they contact a Realtor, it is imperative that your home shows at its best. Staging has other benefits as well. Sellers often say how cathartic it is for them. By staging and removing things, they make the emotional cut that they can't do when they're living in the house that they know as their home.
